a roast
in addition to a myriad of other things today, i was finally able to roast some coffee again. i hadn’t done it since the middle of winter, where it takes a bit longer to roast (but it cools down faster!)
i got started roasting when carrie gave me an assortment of green coffee beans and a hot air popcorn popper for my birthday. a hot air popper can be used to roast approx 3-3.5 ounces of coffee at a time. there are various guides available that go through the process.
i think i’ll continue doing this, but now that i’ve done a few pounds worth of coffee i think i need to step it up and create a rig that lets me roast more coffee at once.
