mom sent this slipper toy/bed/… thing. her cat didn’t regard it much, ours like to wrastle on it and occasionally nap.
school update: midterms
so, just a quick update on how school is going for me.
i just hit midterms, and it was kind of a rough week. lot of reading to do, lot of online exams & quizzes. one nice thing, however, is that if your online quiz/exam contains only multiple choice/true-or-false questions — you get instant grades when you’re done!
so far, i’m above the class average in all my courses on all assignments, quizzes, exams, and required discussion boards online (the online equivalent of “class participation”). if i continue at this pace, i should do quite well.

Augustana‘s “Boston” on the ipod. good stuff, we happened upon them because they were opening for some of the Goo Goo Dolls / Counting Crows shows in the last tour we saw.
this is a general ramble/update; there is no direction. read on for all the latest news of the recent past and the present.
meet: simon
simon is currently an extended foster, who might become a member of the household once his medical issues are cleared up. he makes up the half of the “odd couple” duo with hopper. simon is definitely the jack klugman of the two.
where are the kids in the hall?
just flipping past FX this morning and i saw The Wrong Guy, a movie from 1997 starring Dave Foley. got me wondering what they’re up to nowadays.

hopper joined us not too long ago as cat #5 in our household. he’s an handsome devil. his codename is “mr. handsome pants.” no, i’m not making that up. no, this doesn’t make me seem overly masculine.
