falcon on the dogbed
yes, that’s way more bed than this tiny cat needs. but he doesn’t seem to mind.
where does this leave the dog? read more to find out.
thankfully the dog doesn’t mind. she loves her brother, even though he’s a goof.

watching the ken burns documentary “Horatio’s Ride” about Horatio Nelson Jackson, an automotive enthusiast who drove a car from san francisco to new york city, on a bet.
the wager was, he would make it in less than 90 days, and win $50. oh, yeah — the year was 1903.
insane. i can’t imagine the tenacity it took to accomplish something like that.
carrie & i went up to the Big 4 meadow today. that’s one of our favorite destinations, and this time didn’t disappoint. snow snow snow!
just got this back from the jewelers.
i bought the broadarrow diver’s watch on ebay, then found the matching PVD bracelet for it at The Watch Prince.
homebrewers, or alcoholics?
that would be “homebrewers.” 5 points!
(i know, it might be both.)
we bottled 5 gallons tonight.
more falcon. this time, sleeping next to me on the couch. he looks happy. i tend to give off a lot of heat.

btw… he passed his audition.
so, as most people who know me would be aware, we foster kittens. we’ve had probably close to 200 foster kittens through our home. we volunteer for a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in arlington, wa called Purrfect Pals.
we recently fostered a group of 8 kittens. carrie got to name them — and what she came up with quickly were naming the boys after fords, and the girls after chevrolets.
one of the boys, pictured here, is “falcon.” falcon is currently … “auditioning.” we think he may make a good addition to our home. (how far he is through the “auditioning” process depends on who you ask, and how cheeky i’m acting when i reply.)
i’ve updated the site, adding pictures back in to various sections. (by popular demand)
updated sections include:
vehicles » f-150 (update: link fixed)
this is our work truck, a 1990 Ford F-150 that we affectionately refer to as “moosie.”
picture of the f-150 in the mountains, 1
in lieu of getting my focus suspension install completed (short answer: needed to replace parts i didn’t expect to replace) i decided to take part of my columbus day to work on the truck.
moosie got new spark plugs and an oil/filter change. yes, quite exciting, i know.
also we discovered that the truck (longbed F-150) will fit entirely within the garage. that’s good to know — we intend to rebuild the garage next year, and are bound by building codes to make it precisely the same size as the existing one. so the new one will accomodate a full-size pickup as well.
